Thandi turns 1

Blueberry and cream pancake cake. Thandi only liked the pancakes

On Friday Thandi turned one. She didn´t really know what all the fuss was about. It was mostly a relief celebration for Agnes and I, that we managed to make it this far. Funny how age is all relative though. In the time Thandi has aged one year I´ve aged 4 years, and Agnes 6 years, minimum; presumably some difference in our geodetic effects.

Thandi enjoyed posting her gifts through the catflap for a while before sauntering off to play with a bit of paper. I´m not entirely sure she didnt prefer the gifts wrapped, but in the end they are much more useful (especially the clothes) unwrapped. Anyway we still have the paper so I can rewrap them all and give them to her for christmas.

busy

Now that she is one she is making a real effort to walk. I think she will be walking just in time for our 1000km drive down to Dunedin, so that every minute in the car, not walking, will feel like a torture for her. Also she is getting more teeth, which we will hope will encourage her to chew a bit more. Right now she eats food like a dog (JP) eating a sausage.

birthday bath (one bath a year is enough at this age)

Sleeping after a long day being 1

What a cute little one-year-old - love the kimono! Love all the pics - sounds exhausting being one and even more exhausting being the parents!
