Its been an extremely busy time. Agnes has been here, but it hasnt been all free time and holidays. In fact she is in the middle of finishing her PhD and writing up, and I'm pretending to be as busy with mine to make her feel better.
Oh before I put any pictures or attention distracting material I would like to say that today is 25 degrees with a hot breeze. Only Gels cant be jealous of that. What you dont know is that at the beginning of the week it was below 10 with a freezing wind.
Here are some pictures of the house which will hopefully serve as home for the next couple of years. Its 35 min walk to university - in an area called North East valley. Its very well insulated and heated (the house not the valley, keep up) - rare for a New Zealand house. Gets plenty of sun too, and the garden especially gets drowned in afternoon sun. there are already established veg gardens as well as fruit trees, and berry bushes. Will post some pictures of the inside once we have moved in. Its quite an old house, and we think its a bit all over the place in a charming sort of way. Im moving in around 29th or 30th of Dec - Agnes will join me in Feb some time. The place is fully furnished and the landlord/lady very relaxed. Also there are 3 bedrooms. Please come and stay
The front of the house from the road
the back from the garden, the back with Agnes for scale

The back garden (its higgildy and on different levels), and grape vines in the braai area. I hope they are pinot noir I have mist guilted dreams of creating a full bodied wine with a hint of cherry bouquet and passionfruit. Perfect for long summer evenings. Or anything over 20% alcohol by volume will do

Sorry yoko, john had to take the picture. wheres the papparazi when you need them? The front door.
